If you’ve ever used shared branching while traveling—you know how convenient it is. But with that convenience comes a growing need to protect what matters most: your account.

Starting May 1, 2025, a new security step will be added to help keep your account safer from fraud when you use shared branching. It's called IDCheck and it's designed to make your shared branching transactions quicker, and more secure—without adding any hassle.

This new step helps ensure that it’s really you making the transaction—not someone pretending to be you. Even better, it takes just two minutes or less (yes, we timed it).

Here’s how it works:
When you visit a branch that’s not your “home” credit union to make a withdrawal, you’ll now see an IDCheck QR code in the branch lobby. Just open the camera on your mobile phone, scan the code, and follow a few simple prompts. You can expect to be asked to:

•    Snap a quick photo of your ID
•    Take a selfie
•    Receive a numeric code to share with the teller

That’s it! Once you give the code to the teller, you’re good to go. The process helps verify your identity on the spot and helps protect your account from fraud—all while keeping your transaction smooth and speedy.

So, if you’re stopping by a shared branch starting May 1, 2025—either as a guest or one of our members away from "home"—just look for the QR code and complete the quick IDCheck process before heading to the teller. It’s one more way we’re working to keep you and your money SAFE.

Next time you visit a branch, and have additional questions, or need help with the IDCheck process, just ask! We’re always happy to help.
